Job summary

Google LLC's Enterprise Network (GEN) Engineering team seeks a Staff Network Security Engineer to manage risks to GEN hardware and software, and to build automation enforcing security policies. You will collaborate with customers, vendors, network operations, and deployment teams to ensure safe, secure and efficient designs aligned with user needs.

The role focuses on developing security programs, architectures, and scalable patterns across various network domains, including enterprise networks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting.
• Experience planning and designing networks across multiple sites/products.
• Experience with network security architecture, threat modeling and security assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical direction to cross-functional teams.
• Develop security framework, standards and baselines for infrastructures and networks.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for products/services to reduce risk.
• Explain security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences and propose remediation.
• Lead security programs from inception to roadmap, milestones and impact.
