Job summary

RealPage, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the financial data integration and ML classification platform. You will lead two critical systems: a document parsing engine with 280+ ETL processors and a dynamic pipeline orchestration platform driven by ML mappings.

You will design schemas, build ML models, maintain production data pipelines, and mentor one direct report. Expect broad scope: end-to-end data processing from ingestion to API integration in real client environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Python development with production ML systems.
• Strong experience with NLP / text classification using transformer models (Hugging Face, TensorFlow).
• Deep proficiency with pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines that process messy, semi-structured data (Excel, CSV).
• Familiarity with ML model serving platforms (Wallaroo, SageMaker, Vertex AI) and OAuth2-based inference APIs.
• Comfort leading as a technical lead, triaging bugs and mentoring junior engineers.

• ML Model Development & Deployment — Build, train, and deploy classification models using ML platforms.
• Pipeline Platform — Maintain and extend the orchestration system for file routing and output generation.
• ETL Engine — Evolve parsing library for complex Excel workbooks and varied formats.
• Data Quality & Reliability — Improve accuracy and audit logging across clients.
• Architecture & Technical Leadership — Guide model serving infra, DB schema design, and API patterns; mentor a direct report.
