Wing is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Simulation, to join its hybrid team in Palo Alto. The role focuses on integrating advanced ML techniques into Wing’s simulation stack, pushing the realism of autonomous system simulations and developing industry‑leading simulation solutions using generative and reconstructive ML algorithms.

You will lead world models, build synthetic datasets, and collaborate with Alphabet research teams to advance simulation capabilities and AI infrastructure

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in ML, autonomous systems, or simulation platforms.
• Ability to lead technical ML projects from research to production‑ready solutions.
• Deep expertise in 3D World Modeling or 3D computer vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and deployment of world models and generative systems for realistic sensor generation in large‑scale simulation.
• Develop generative pipelines to build high‑fidelity synthetic datasets using multimodal models and diffusion techniques.
• Collaborate with Alphabet research teams to integrate advanced modeling techniques.
• Champion sim‑to‑real transfer and domain adaptation to align simulated and real system behaviors.
• Apply visual-language modeling techniques to enhance world simulation products.
• Help shape the AI infrastructure and best practices for large‑scale training across the organization.
