Wonder seeks a hands-on technical leader to own model architecture across ranking, retrieval, and recommendation systems, coordinating with product and platform partners. You will guide offline and online evaluation, bring in LLM and embedding-based techniques, and ensure scalable, observable deployments across teams.

You will mentor engineers, influence cross-team design decisions, and communicate trade-offs to executives. A strong background in ML systems and IR is essential.

Competenze

• MS/PhD in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years building and shipping ML systems, incl. 3+ years senior scope.
• Deep experience in recommender systems, ranking, IR at scale.
• Proven production deep learning with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with Large Language Models and transformer-based architectures.
• Strong data engineering fundamentals: PySpark, Hive/SQL, Python stack.
• Comfort with experimentation: A/B tests and guardrails.
• Experience with cloud ML infrastructure and production monitoring.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and cross-team influence.
