DoorDash is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Machine Learning to conceptualize, design, and validate ML improvements for the catalog system and knowledge graph. You will deploy production ML solutions at scale, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact in a fast-growing grocery and retail delivery business.

The role is hybrid with in-office time, reporting to an Engineering Manager, and offers equity alongside a competitive base salary in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years ML industry experience with a solid understanding of ML algorithms and fundamentals.
• MS/PhD in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics or equivalent.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools in the full software development lifecycle.

Responsabilités

• Develop advanced machine learning models to improve ads efficiency and quality.
• Design and build optimization algorithms for budget pacing and automated bidding.
• Establish a data-driven framework to understand bid density and market competitiveness effects.
• Develop data solutions (embeddings and consumer profiles) for target audiences.
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
• Extend data/ML infrastructure to support data analysis, modeling and experimentation.
• Scale systems and services to support business growth.
