Discord is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Machine Learning (Consumer Revenue) to lead ML efforts across Shop, Nitro, Server Subscriptions, and Gifting. You will design and deploy ranking and recommendation models, collaborating across product and engineering in a remote US context.

You should have 8+ years in applied ML, strong Python and framework expertise, and a track record of shipping ML systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in applied Machine Learning, with advanced degree in CS/ML/AI.
• Expertise in deep learning and RecSys architectures (two-tower, transformers, multi-task).
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).

Responsibilities

• Lead ML initiatives across Discord's Consumer Revenue surfaces.
• Translate experiment results into roadmap decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple verticals and stakeholders.
• Build ML systems from 0→1 and scale them to production.
