The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Staff Microelectronics Product Engineer to support our Test and Assembly functions at our Linthicum, MD facility, the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL). Located outside of Baltimore, Maryland, we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs.
What You’ll get to Do:
As a Staff Microelectronics Product Engineer, the candidate will serve as the product engineering lead, generating & maintaining product backend (test & assembly) trip tickets, tracking/monitoring program metrics (delivery & yield), resolving technical issues, and leading team efforts to drive cost and schedule improvements. The candidate will work closely with program managers and functional engineering staff, serving as the engineering POC for any product-related technical and production issues.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Microelectronics Product Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline with 12 years relevant industry experience; Master’s degree in STEM discipline with 10 years relevant industry experience; or PhD in STEM discipline with 7 years relevant industry experience.
Experience in leading cross-functional technical teams to achieve short and long-term goals.
Demonstrate application of detailed data analytics techniques.
Ability to formulate, communicate, and execute complex project plans and initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership.
Ability to mentor multiple engineers.
Supporting technology development through detailed analysis.
Contributing to the technical community through publications and teaching events.
Capability and drive to expand functional capacity of teams and organizations.
US Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) with SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for Staff Microelectronics Product Engineer:
Direct experience in product engineering function in foundry and/or semiconductor company.
A strong technical background in solid state device physics, digital and RF circuit design and test, and device reliability & qualification.
Master's / Doctorate degree in engineering.
Currently holding a Top Secret (TS) with SCI clearance.
Salary Range: $157,500 - $236,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
