Job Title: Staff Mental Health Therapist

As a Staff Mental Health Therapist, you play an integral part of our holistic healing mission. You will provide counseling to those who seek support from our services. You uphold their dignity and strength. You serve those individuals by upholding excellence in clinical skills, and administrative duties and by committing to community with our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Duties
  • Conduct sessions for clients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on the needs of clients
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical records and documentation
  • Adhere to the best standards of practice in therapy, following ethical guidelines and professional standards
  • (Non-terminal licenses) Attend supervision as required by the State of Nebraska
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Attend monthly staff meetings to stay informed about organizational updates and collaborate with other staff members
  • Participate in monthly clinical consultations to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and receive peer support and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive care and maintain a positive team environment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to client care and program operations
  • Oversee the collection and tracking of client financial payments, ensuring that clients are billed accurately and payments are received promptly
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist in financial reporting as needed
  • If applicable, work with the administrative team to coordinate insurance billing and claims submission
  • Participate in appropriate training as required by the State of Nebraska
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A passion for the mission and vision of Selah Counseling Center
  • A passion for serving families and younger individuals (preferred but not required)
  • A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field
  • Appropriate state licensure in good standing (e.g., LMHP, LIMHP, LPC, PLMHP, LP, and PLP)
  • Passionate about the integration of spiritual best practices into therapeutic work
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adherence to ethical and professional standards in mental health counseling
  • Experience in maintaining client records and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively
