Job summary

Arconic Corporation seeks a Staff Mechanical Engineer to support the Central Maintenance department in Davenport, IA. You will optimize safety, efficiency, output and quality of plant infrastructure and manufacturing processes through mechanical system integration for area projects.

The role emphasizes self-directed work and collaboration with engineers, maintenance and production teams across project phases from concept to closure, with off-shift support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience developing project business cases and writing project approval requests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all organization levels.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Utilize project management tools for sustaining and new capital improvement projects.
• Coordinate all phases of assigned area mechanical engineering projects from concept to closure.
• Manage external vendors and contractors for design, materials, installation and support functions.
• Focus on safety, infrastructure reliability, training, and production improvements.
• Lead and support problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements.
