Responsibilities

• Build multi-domain physics models from scratch to predict behavior in novel mechanisms, focusing on electromagnetics, contact mechanics, kinematics, and soft-material interactions.
• Construct bespoke modeling scripts (Python, MATLAB) and utilize advanced simulation software (COMSOL, FEMM) to explore parameter spaces.
• Utilize, develop, and evolve agentic tools and AI-driven methodologies to accelerate physics modeling and automate parameter exploration.
• Perform detailed calculations and dynamic simulations for actuators, magnetic array topologies, bearing surface selection, and transmission efficiency.
• Partner with Controls, Firmware, and Electrical engineers to ensure subsystem models integrate into the broader robotic architecture.

• Construct bespoke modeling scripts (Python, MATLAB) and utilize advanced simulation software (COMSOL, FEMM) to explore parameter spaces where standard off-the-shelf modeling tools are insufficient.
  


• Utilize, develop, and evolve agentic tools and AI-driven methodologies to accelerate physics modeling, automate complex parameter exploration, and pioneer next-generation hardware development.
  


• Perform detailed calculations and dynamic simulations for actuators, magnetic array topologies, bearing surface selection, and transmission efficiency.
  


• Partner closely with Controls, Firmware, and Electrical engineers to ensure subsystem models seamlessly integrate into the broader robotic architecture.
