We are looking for a Staff Mechanical Engineer(Fuel Cell Stack Design Engineer)to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

Location: San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Explore and evaluate new material, manufacturing method, and metrology on critical component to achieve aggressive cost target
  • Design and execute hand-on experiments and tests to determine feasibility of different manufacturing method to meet yield and performance requirement
  • Technical supplier evaluation/selection and management for development and collaborate with internal production team for mass production readiness
  • Work with cross-functional team for critical component production qualification including design, analysis of experiments, specification development and lifecycle management
  • Characterize and document engineering issues, and lead problem solving activities

Skills and Experience:

  • Ph.D. with minimum 2 years or Master degree with minimum 5 years of industrial engineering experience in Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science (metal alloy) required
  • Hands-on experience in constructing mechanical hardware and engineering testing required
  • Experience in high temperature (>500 C) metal alloy metal is preferred
  • Experience in computer coding for science/engineering purpose is preferred
  • Exceptional analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be creative, versatile, efficient and productive with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Strong self-starter and team player with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Salary Ranges:
$130,400.00 - $187,600.00
