Job summary

Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to support NSWC IHD with design, analysis, qualification, and certification activities for mechanical systems and equipment. The role involves collaboration with government personnel, engineers, manufacturing teams, and project stakeholders to enable development, evaluation, and sustainment of critical systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
Experience supporting design, analysis, testing, or technical development activities.
Experience preparing technical documentation and design packages.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support design, development, analysis, testing, and evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment.
Develop engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Perform analyses to support design decisions and system improvements.
Support qualification, testing, and certification activities for new and existing systems.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and government personnel to meet objectives.
