Job summary

Magee Technologies (MTech) is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing team. The role demands 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, guiding designs to be manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with quality standards.

The engineer will work on the shop floor, support multiple programs, help with quoting and planning, and drive continuous improvement across production schedules and process capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manufacturing planning, process development, and production execution.
• Experience developing manufacturing cost estimates and supporting quoting activities.
• Experience providing manufacturability input during product design and development.
• Experience supporting CNC machining, fabrication, or precision manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with NX CAM and SolidWorks CAD preferred for manufacturing programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace and defense products, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams during product development to provide design recommendations.
• Apply GD&T to evaluate drawings, resolve manufacturability concerns, and support inspection and acceptance requirements.
• Develop manufacturing plans, process flows, work instructions, routers, tooling concepts, and production documentation.
• Provide on-floor hands-on technical support, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
