Role Overview:

In this role, you will develop and execute a vision for the evolution of the machine learning technology stack for Ads Ranking, including Candidate Generation, Lightweight Ranker, Engagement Modeling, and Conversion Modeling. You will tackle new challenges such as user sequence modeling, large models, embedding features, model quantization, utility alignment, application of LLM and multi-modal models, and domain-specific challenges like next-gen lightweight ranking beyond two-tower architecture, quota allocation, new engagement type modeling, RoAS optimization, among others, to enhance the ML models powering ads ranking and delivery.

What you'll do:
  • Develop state-of-the-art applied machine learning projects for ads ranking, focusing on lightweight ranker, engagement modeling, or conversion modeling.
  • Design features and build large-scale ML models to improve user ad action prediction with low latency.
  • Innovate new techniques for inferring user interests from online and offline activities.
  • Mine text, visual, and user signals to better understand user intent.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to design and implement new ad products.
What we're looking for:
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in building production ML systems at scale, including data mining, search, recommendations, or NLP.
  • 2+ years of experience leading projects or teams.
  • Strong mathematical skills with knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Background in computational advertising is a plus, but not required.
