Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead scalable ML solutions from data sourcing to deployment and monitoring. You will implement MLOps, build reusable infrastructure, and mentor engineers to raise technical standards across teams.

The role requires collaboration with Product, Data, and Platform teams to deliver reliable, business-driven AI capabilities and continuous innovation across Walmart’s ML stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, AI or related field with relevant ML/AI experience.
• 6 years of software engineering or ML engineering experience can substitute for degree.
• Strong experience building production ML solutions and ML lifecycle (data sourcing, training, deployment).
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and model versioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of scalable ML solutions across cloud environments.
• Translate complex problems into clear technical requirements and designs.
• Oversee end-to-end ML lifecycle: data sourcing, feature engineering, training, deployment, monitoring.
• Mentor engineers and enforce engineering standards.
• Drive experimentation and adoption of advanced ML techniques.
