Job summary

Spotify is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to shape the ML engineering strategy for Discovery Mode and related royalty programs. You will design and deploy production ML systems at scale, mentor engineers, and collaborate with research, data science, product, and design to deliver impactful artist-to-fan experiences.

This role emphasizes robust experimentation and reliable software for Spotify for Artists customers across North America.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with ML algorithms, evaluation, and experimentation.
• Hands-on experience designing production ML systems at scale.
• Ability to set technical direction for complex ML problems.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive ML engineering strategy translating goals into scalable solutions.
• Design, build, evaluate, ship, and refine production ML systems.
• Provide technical leadership across ML initiatives.
• Collaborate with research, design, data science, product management, and engineering.
• Prototype new approaches and turn ideas into scalable solutions for Spotify for Artists customers.
• Drive experimentation, optimization, testing, and tooling for ML systems.
• Partner with engineers across Spotify to explore new approaches to music promotion.
