Job summary

PHIL Inc. is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join our team in a remote capacity.

The pharmacist will verify prescriptions, conduct drug utilization reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating across departments to improve patient health outcomes and adherence. This role requires licensed pharmacist (RPh; PharmD preferred), state licensure, and at least 1 year of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

  • Education: RPh required; PharmD strongly preferred
  • Licensure: Licensed pharmacist in state of residence; multiple state licensure preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist; startup or managerial experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Reliable and self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Prescription Verification & Drug Utilization Review: Verify prescriptions and conduct drug utilization reviews to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • PA Review & Prescription Transfers: Review Prior Authorization requests and transfer prescriptions to ensure timely delivery to patients.
  • Project Execution: Deliver and execute new and ongoing pharmacy projects to improve services and patient experience.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA standards and pharmacy law.
  • Collaboration: Work with PHIL team members from different departments to ensure patient safety and smooth workflows.
  • Patient Adherence & Health Outcomes: Improve patient adherence to medication regimens to achieve better outcomes.
  • Ownership of Pharmacy Operations: Demonstrate ownership of operations, targeting productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
  • Operational Support: Support PIC with tasks to maintain workflow and deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in meetings to address issues and obtain approvals and stay updated with industry developments.

Position Overview

PHIL is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join our team. This is a remote position.

The pharmacist will play a key role in prescription verification, drug utilization review, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, while collaborating across departments to improve patient health outcomes and adherence.

Responsibilities
  • Prescription Verification & Drug Utilization Review: Verify prescriptions and conduct drug utilization reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

  • PA Review & Prescription Transfers: Review Prior Authorization requests and transfer patient prescriptions to help ensure medications are delivered to patients in a timely manner.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with PHIL team members from different departments to ensure patient safety and support seamless workflows across the organization.

  • Patient Adherence & Health Outcomes: Collaborate to create better health outcomes by improving patient adherence to their medication regimen.

  • Ownership of Pharmacy Operations: Demonstrate ownership of pharmacy operations, meeting expectations for productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.

  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a critical focus on accuracy while managing multiple priorities.

  • Operational Support: Perform or assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) with operational tasks as needed to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.

  • Team Collaboration: Participate in meetings and workgroups to address issues, obtain approvals, and stay up-to-date with industry developments.

Qualifications
  • Education: RPh required; PharmD strongly preferred

  • Licensure: Licensed pharmacist in state of residence, depending on the physical location; applicants with multiple state licensure are preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist; experience in a start-up environment or managerial position highly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
