Job summary

Ranger Technical Resources seeks a Staff Java Engineer to influence architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive high-impact initiatives for a leading SaaS IT operations platform. You will shape scalable, secure, and maintainable Java-based systems across multiple squads in a fast-moving environment.

You will leverage Spring Boot/Spring Cloud, AWS, and modern DevOps practices to deliver resilient software with high performance and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of enterprise Java development.
• Staff-level influence in designing and maintaining complex enterprise solutions.
• Hands-on SaaS, cloud deployments, and distributed systems experience.
• Strong CI/CD and DevOps background for enterprise SaaS web apps.
• Ability to lead major architectural decisions to improve performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Java-based applications handling large-scale workloads.
• Drive cross-team initiatives and align with company-wide goals.
• Establish and uphold coding standards with reviews and testing; mentor engineers.
• Conduct root cause analysis and guide incident response for high-impact issues.
• Lead CI/CD improvements to accelerate releases while ensuring quality.
• Champion scalable, fault-tolerant design; introduce new frameworks for growth.
