Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, iOS, to join our team and lead the development of high‑performance mobile apps powering Snapchat features. You will design, implement, and refine Objective‑C software, while shaping new features and ensuring top‑tier performance and security.

Collaboration with design and cross‑functional teams is essential. You will mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 9+ years of post‑Bachelor’s software development experience (or 8+ with Master’s, or 5+ with PhD).
• 1+ years of technical leadership or domain‑expert experience.
• Experience with iOS application development.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine high‑performance mobile apps for iOS.
• Build new features and ensure stability and smooth operation of apps.
• Design, architect and implement Objective‑C software powering Snapchat camera experiences.
• Develop, launch and iterate on new features.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs for decisions with care.
• Collaborate with Design to refine UI and infrastructure practices.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain quality and standards.
• Leverage AI tools to design and ship scalable services while ensuring security and quality.
