Job summary

Block is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to lead the technical direction of a major iOS domain, focusing on bitcoin, stablecoins, and non-custodial wallets. You will own end-to-end features, align product requirements with backend capabilities, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver reliable customer experiences.

You will mentor engineers, improve interfaces, and drive testing, observability, and safe rollout practices while upholding security and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering, including 4+ years building native iOS apps.
• Experience with Swift and Apple frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and delivery of a critical iOS area.
• Own complex features end to end including architecture, service integration, testing, rollout and post-launch improvements.
• Collaborate with product and design to shape customer journeys and prototype interactions.
• Build automated testing, observability, and safe rollout practices with security and privacy safeguards.
• Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and cross-team guidance.
• Represent iOS in cross-team and company-wide technical discussions.
