Block is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer for the Product Platform team in Sacramento. You will be a hands-on technical leader shaping iOS architecture and developer experience across multiple squads. Own foundational systems, design shared libraries and tooling, and lead multi-quarter migrations.

You will drive testing, observability, performance, security, and release safety. Mentor senior engineers and expand AI-enabled platform capabilities while collaborating with product, design, and backend

Competenze

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 8+ years in mobile engineering, with 4+ years building native iOS products.
• Deep expertise in iOS frameworks, Swift, and Objective-C.
• Experience creating foundational systems, shared frameworks, or developer tooling.
• Record of leading strategic multi-quarter initiatives with durable impact.
• Experience linking platform strategy to customer-facing SaaS products.
• Strong systems thinking, technical communication, mentoring, and influence.
