Job summary

Google LLC in Mountain View, CA is seeking an experienced Interaction Designer to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences. You will create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to deliver industry-leading products.

You will apply user-centered design methods from concept to execution, evolving the Google design language and building beautiful, innovative products with partners across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in interaction design, product design or UX design.
• 3 years of experience leading design projects from conception to launch.

Responsibilities

• Establish UX frameworks and bring system thinking to the problem space.
• Identify high-leverage opportunities for agentic solutions across the developer lifecycle and tech stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align workstreams and develop cohesive developer experiences.
• Serve as a trusted design strategist with PM and Engineering leads, balancing constraints with user value.
• Drive end-to-end design execution and maintain high quality, system thinking and polish.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience designing AI/Agent first solutions, Generative UI, or agentic/autonomous workflows.
• Proven ability to influence product strategy and gain executive buy-in, with strong prototyping skills, open mind, and ability to think out of the box.
• Exceptional storytelling and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into compelling user narratives.
• Willingness to move beyond traditional design tools to perform code-based prototyping, and desire to build and leverage code to develop concepts.
