Job summary

Google LLC is seeking an experienced Interaction Designer to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences for billions of users. You will craft user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes, collaborating with Engineers and Product Management to evolve Google’s design language.

You will apply user-centered methods from concept to execution, influencing product strategy and building beautiful, innovative interfaces across Android and web platforms.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in interaction design, product design or UX design.
• 3 years of experience leading design projects from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience designing AI/Agent first solutions, Generative UI, or agentic/autonomous workflows.
• Proven ability to influence product strategy and gain executive buy-in, with strong prototyping skills, open mind, and ability to think out of the box.
• Exceptional storytelling and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into compelling user narratives.
• Willingness to move beyond traditional design tools to perform code-based prototyping, and desire to build and leverage code to develop concepts.

• Establish UX frameworks and bring system thinking to the problem space. Design scalable interaction patterns for non-deterministic AI behaviors.
• Identify high-leverage opportunities for agentic solutions across the developer lifecycle, and tech stack, transforming nascent AI capabilities into actionable, user-centered product roadmaps.
• Collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners across multiple product areas (PAs) to align workstreams, and establish cohesive developer experiences.
• Serve as a trusted design strategist with Product Management and Engineering leads, balancing technical constraints with user value.
• Drive end-to-end design execution and lead design quality, system thinking, and polish.
