Job summary

Hercules is seeking a senior or staff level infrastructure engineer to help us build the future of AI software development in San Francisco. The role focuses on scaling and maintaining the infrastructure behind AI Agent, App Builder, App Hosting, and the broader Hercules Platform.

The ideal candidate will own system design, data modeling, API design, and code quality across a multi-tenant stack using TypeScript, React-based interfaces, containers, Postgres, Redis, and Temporal.

Qualifications

• Strong system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design.
• Write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in monorepos.
• Experience building scale-out, multi-tenant, distributed services.
• Track record of shipping changes that impact customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure powering Hercules AI software stack.
• Support AI Agent, App Builder, App Hosting, and Platform components.
• Scale and optimize services to support 100s of thousands of apps/users.
• Collaborate across teams to improve reliability, observability, and performance.
• Apply AI-first approaches to improve developer workflows.
