Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Staff Industrial Hygienist to support our EHS Practice. You will perform hazardous material inspections, IAQ assessments, and mold investigations, and travel within Wisconsin and surrounding states.

You will read project specifications, prepare reports, and interact with clients and regulatory agencies while advancing your skills and licensure in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to train and acquire a WI Licensed Asbestos Inspector license.
• Degree in occupational safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science or related field; advanced degree/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazardous building material inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs.
• Conduct indoor air quality inspections, water intrusion investigations, mold assessments.
• Coordinate with contractors and clients; read project specs/drawings; prepare reports.

Overview

TRC is seeking a Staff Industrial Hygienist with our EHS Practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Trained to perform hazardous building material inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs.
• Trained in performing indoor air quality inspections, water intrusion investigation and mold assessments.
• Perform project oversight and coordination with contractors.
• Operate and maintain instruments including sampling pumps, calibrators and microscopes.
• Collect samples as required by various regulatory agencies, complete data sheets, chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory.
• Environmental reporting support.
• Maintain daily logs of activities related to project work.
• Interact and communicate with clients, contractors and regulatory agency representatives.
• Read project specifications and drawings.
• Prepare reports.
• Travel throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana is expected with overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to train and acquire a WI Licensed Asbestos Inspector license.
• Degree: We are seeking degreed candidates in occupational safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science or related field. Advanced degree and certification (CSP, CIH, CPEA, PE, CHMM) preferred.
• Must be able to read project specifications and drawings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility to various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios.
• Intuitive and creative thinker. Understanding of their surroundings and reason the services are being provided. A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers / clients and offers solutions when needed.
• Work as a team player.
• Ability to carry and climb ladders and being able to use hand and power tools.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
