Job summary

TRC is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our Safety-Industrial Hygiene Practice in Los Angeles, CA. You will coordinate and execute regulated materials surveys for asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing materials, PCB's, universal wastes, and prepare survey reports.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a science discipline preferred but not required; must read project specifications and drawings, be a good communicator and team player, and pass pre-employment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science discipline, industrial hygiene, public health or environmental science is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read project specifications and drawings.
  • Must be a good communicator and a team player.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical and motor vehicle records check.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • The position requires 0-3 years of prior building sciences and industrial hygiene experience, with a strong emphasis on the commercial and industrial sectors preferred.
  • DOSH Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) required or Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) preferred.
  • CDPH Lead-Related Construction Sampling Technician, Inspector/Assessor and/or Project Monitor.
  • ACAC Certified Microbial Consultant, Certified Microbial Investigator, and/or Certified Indoor Environmentalist.

Overview

We are currently looking for an Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our Safety-Industrial Hygiene Practice in Los Angeles, CA.

The preferred candidate should one or more of the following certifications:

  • The position requires 0-3 years of prior building sciences and industrial hygiene experience, with a strong emphasis on the commercial and industrial sectors preferred.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:

Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
