Tiffany & Co. is seeking a Staff II – General Accounting to join the North America Accounting team in Parsippany, NJ. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with prior experience to deepen their expertise in intercompany accounting within a complex, multi-entity environment spanning US and Canadian operations. The Staff II Accountant plays an important role in the integrity of North America’s accounting processes, with direct responsibility for a meaningful portfolio of recurring monthly work across intercompany merchandise and miscellaneous transactions, settlements, reconciliations, and close support activities. This role owns critical accounting deliverables that help ensure financial activity between entities is recorded accurately, reconciled timely, and resolved in close partnership with domestic and international stakeholders. Beyond core accounting execution, this position offers exposure to monthly close analytics, cross-functional collaboration, and business process improvement efforts, including opportunities to support automation and systems-related initiatives that enhance the efficiency and control environment of the accounting function. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, prior experience in intercompany or general ledger accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across teams in a deadline-driven environment. This position follows a hybrid schedule requiring 4 days in-office at our Whippany, NJ location and 1 day remote.
Own recurring monthly responsibilities related to intercompany merchandise activity across US and Canadian operations, ensuring balances are matched, settlements are recorded accurately, and discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.
Support the accounting and settlement of intercompany miscellaneous activity across domestic and international markets, serving as a key point of coordination for recurring transactions and issue resolution.
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities through recurring accounting entries, analytical review, and reconciliation support that help maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
Participate in efforts to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and reduce manual effort across assigned workstreams.
Contribute to broader departmental priorities and initiatives that support the continued development of accounting processes and systems.
The hiring range for this position ranges from $77,000 - $95,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
