Job summary

GEICO in Renton, WA seeks a Staff Engineer to lead Identity Lifecycle Engineering, guiding the design, development, and security of identities in cloud and on-prem environments. You will participate in resolving complex problems and collaborate across teams to promote GEICO’s vision.

The ideal candidate has broad technical knowledge of IAM, identity governance, and secure authorization, with a track record of delivering scalable identity solutions in a hyper-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with identity governance platforms and lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to implement workflows for joiner, mover, leaver, approvals and provisioning.
• Experience with security protocols and products: AD, Kerberos, LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OIDC.

Responsibilities

• Design, Build and Manage scalable Identity Governance solutions.
• Drive adoption of RBAC, ABAC and SOD controls within the enterprise.
• Implement Just-in-Time (JIT) provisioning.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead design sessions and reviews to elevate engineering quality.
• Build backend APIs and services exposing identity capabilities to apps.
• Develop and maintain system design, processes, and documentation for IAM.
• Support a team environment that fosters innovation and inclusion.
• Stay abreast of identity trends to enhance data protection strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and application groups for aligned solutions.
