Job summary

Okta invites aStaff Identity Security Engineer to take ownership of OIG, OPA, and ISPM implementations and to set technical direction across the identity security program. You will mentor engineers, review designs, and partner with leadership to drive end-to-end identity lifecycle solutions.

The role emphasizes architecture, automation through Okta Workflows, and collaboration across security, IT, and security operations teams in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in enterprise IGA, PAM/ISPM management and administration.
• Expertise designing birthright provisioning and RBAC in production.
• Experience with OPA or similar PAM tooling and zero standing privilege concepts.
• Experience with ISPM tools (e.g., Okta ISPM) integrated with EDR like CrowdStrike.
• Solid understanding of SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0 and RBAC concepts.
• History owning identity lifecycle problems end-to-end and production rollouts.
• Experience in SOX/compliance environments and audit evidence practices.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate updates to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own OIG architecture end-to-end including access workflows and RBAC structures.
• Lead lifecycle, birthright provisioning, and RBAC strategy across enterprise.
• Drive Workday integration architecture for identity workflows and sync.
• Design mover/leaver automation and stale access decommissioning.
• Lead OPA, ISPM, and Zero Standing Privilege initiatives and policies.
• Own PAM/ISPM telemetry, KPIs, and governance reporting.
