Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with significant relevant experience.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix administration and TCP/IP networking.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of high-performance networking technologies.
• Experience with large-scale data storage and HPC environments.
• Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud infrastructures.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple HPC clusters and file systems.
• Integrate cloud bursting into HPC operations.
• Troubleshoot production systems to the source code level.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Staff HPC Infrastructure Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will support the design, reliability, and performance of high-performance computing environments that enable advanced scientific and technical workloads. The engineer will own day-to-day platform stability across clustered systems, storage, and networking infrastructure while partnering with vendors and consultants to keep operations running smoothly. This position also plays an important role in mentoring junior engineers, documenting technical processes, and supporting modernization efforts across on-premise and cloud environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $155,700 – $214,150 annually
