Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Colorado is seeking an experienced GNC Engineer, Navigation Technical Specialist to perform navigational design, algorithm development, software integration, sensor modeling, and ground/flight-like testing within TSWS and SMD programs.

This role requires a minimum 9 years in defense/aerospace navigation, strong experience with INS/GNSS, C/C++, MATLAB, and RTOS, plus ability to work across teams, develop analyses, and deliver briefings.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Experience on defense/aerospace/navigation programs.
• Familiarity with INS/GNSS performance metrics.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Python.
• Understanding of safety-critical software and version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review navigation algorithms and data analyses.
• Assist hardware-in-the-loop testing and software integration.
• Collaborate with program managers and engineering leaders.
• Prepare technical briefings and performance analyses.
• Ensure system requirements verification across simulations and tests.
