Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, GNC Software Engineer in Richardson, TX. You will develop and evaluate guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, build high-fidelity simulations, and support integration and test for multi-domain unmanned systems.

The role requires strong MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ skills, coupled with problem-solving, collaboration, and excellent communication. Travel up to 10% may be required, with an emphasis on security clearance and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years of related engineering experience; 2 years with a Master’s degree.
• Active US secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate guidance, navigation, and control algorithms.
• Build high-fidelity simulations and software prototypes.
• Support integration and test, and analyze performance across vehicle types and mission profiles.
• Develop and support simulation environments and tools for GNC applications.
• Create dynamic models of aerodynamics, propulsion, hardware, actuators, and sensor systems.
• Design and develop guidance algorithms for mission capability across operating conditions.
• Design, implement, and tune controllers to meet stability and performance requirements.
• Integrate multi-sensor feedback for navigation and state estimation.
