Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Engineer (level 5) to support flight simulation development, GN&C algorithm implementation, and rigorous verification and validation. The role is based in Roy, Utah, supporting Flight Systems Futures, and requires a DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.

The candidate will lead a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+ years of experience; or Master’s with 10+ years; or PhD with 8+ years.
• US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to obtain TS/SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, verification, and validation of a 6-DOF missile flight simulation.
• Design, implement, and integrate GN&C algorithms for flight software.
• Develop and enhance analysis tools for GN&C using MATLAB, C++, Python.
