Job Details

This is a full-time, entry-level position based in Sidney, Maine, with a May 2025 start date. The role involves coordinating field exploration activities, collecting geotechnical data during construction, performing analyses, and preparing reports and correspondence. The engineer will also communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors, and may attend industry events and assist in construction materials testing.

Job Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (expected by May 2025)
  • FE/EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MathCAD, geotechnical analysis programs, and ability to learn new software
  • Strong math skills and knowledge of civil engineering principles
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written forms
  • Ability to make decisions, meet deadlines, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
