Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking civil engineering graduates with 0-2 years to work as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer in our Construction Observation & Testing (COT) group in Quakertown, PA. This is an excellent opportunity to work with, and be mentored by, experienced PEs on a wide variety of projects.

Geotechnical Staff Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing
• Subsurface investigations including borings and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans
• Coordinate aspects of drilling projects
• Coordinate and review lab testing
• Support senior staff in design and preparation of plans for retaining walls and other structures
• Calculate bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability
• Preparation of reports

Job Requirements:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• CADD experience preferred
