The ideal candidate will work on a wide variety of projects such as bridges, dams, buildings, waterfront structures, and other infrastructure projects. This role includes subsurface explorations, construction observation/management, geotechnical analysis and design, instrumentation installation and interpretation, dam inspections, and technical specification support. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating lab testing and interpreting lab test data.
  • Developing spreadsheets and databases.
  • Performing engineering analyses and calculations.
  • Preparing technical memos, reports, and construction specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical.
  • 0 to 3+ years of experience.
  • Excellent written and general communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of CAD.
  • Able to perform field work without restrictions and in inclement weather.
  • Willing and able to travel 25% or more.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Background in rock mechanics and structural geology, including mapping is a plus.
  • Experience in MicroStation, Civil 3D, and/or GIS is a plus.
  • 40-hr OSHA/HAZWOPER training is a plus.
