Job summary

Central Nevada Gold Corp. seeks a Staff Geologist to advance near-mine and district-scale exploration at Mule Canyon.

You will integrate geological, geochemical, geophysical, and drilling data to generate targets and guide drilling programs, with emphasis on low-sulfidation epithermal gold styles. You will mentor junior geologists, coordinate with land and environmental teams, and prepare technical reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in mineral exploration.
• Proven experience generating and advancing exploration targets.
• Experience designing and managing mapping, sampling, geophysical, and RC and diamond drilling programs.
• Strong structural geology and geological interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with geological software such as Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS, Vulcan, Datamine.
• Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
• Strong project management and consultant oversight.
• Exceptional documentation discipline and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Generate and evaluate exploration targets at Mule Canyon and other properties to support resource growth.
• Integrate geological, geochemical, geophysical, and structural datasets to identify drill targets.
• Develop and maintain district-scale geological models.
• Plan and manage drilling programs (RC, core, metallurgical, geotechnical) including permitting and contractor oversight.
• Identify geological risks, opportunities, uncertainties, and verification gaps.
• Enforce robust QA/QC and documentation; update models from drilling results.
• Interpret structural controls, stratigraphy, alteration, and mineralization styles.
• Develop and update 3D geological models to guide exploration targeting.
• Collaborate with resource geologists to support resource expansion and conversion.
• Coordinate with land, permitting, and environmental teams for drill approvals.
• Mentor junior geologists and field staff.
• Prepare technical reports and updates for senior management.
• Support disclosures related to exploration results and resources.
