Job summary

AEC, LLC is seeking a Staff Geologist/Environmental Scientist for its Louisville, KY office. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience managing leaking underground storage tank sites under the Kentucky Cabinet and familiarity with UST programs.

Preference given for soil/groundwater investigation, LUST closures, and Phase I ESAs. Responsibilities include directing subsurface investigations, logging borings, supervising field teams, collecting samples, and preparing technical reports.

Qualifications

• BS in geology, engineering, environmental science, or related degree.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work including subcontractor management, logging soil borings, oversee monitoring well installations, soil, groundwater, and vapor sample collection, and field work documentation.
• Direct subsurface investigation projects.
• Data interpretation and report writing.
• Computer proficiency.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
