Job summary

Barry Isett & Associates Inc. is seeking a Staff Geologist to support environmental investigations, geotechnical explorations, and site redevelopment across multiple markets. The role blends fieldwork with office tasks and requires strong communication with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

Travel across Pennsylvania is expected. The ideal candidate will have a geology degree, 0–5+ years of experience, and GIS proficiency; FG certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field.
• 0–5+ years in environmental/geotechnical consulting.
• FG certification preferred or obtainable.
• Understanding of geologic principles and subsurface work.
• Experience with soil classification and reporting.
• GIS mapping experience is a plus.
• Know-how on PA DEP regs and environmental permitting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations and logging.
• Perform environmental site assessments and remediation support.
• Collect soil, groundwater, and surface water samples.
• Prepare boring logs, site sketches, and technical summaries.
• Support geotechnical analyses and reporting.
• Coordinate with team on safety and quality.
