Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage, is seeking an engineer to embed AI into circuit design, layout, and verification. You will partner with design, CAD, and product teams to reduce manual effort and accelerate tape-out.

The role focuses on data-driven modeling, AI-assisted optimization of floorplanning, placement, routing, and simulation, and leveraging silicon data to drive predictive insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 to 7 years Experience with circuit design, layout, verification, or CAD flows.
• Strong coding skills with Python or similar languages to develop production-quality software.
• Experience applying data analysis, machine learning, or automation to engineering workflows.

You will partner closely with design, layout, CAD, and product teams to reduce manual effort, improve quality, and accelerate time-to-tapeout across memory products.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 to 7 years Experience with circuit design, layout, verification, or CAD flows
• Strong coding skills with the ability to develop and maintain production-quality software in Python or similar languages
• Experience applying data analysis, machine learning, or automation to engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience applying AI or ML to physical design, simulation, or silicon data
• Knowledge of memory circuit design and full-chip integration
• Experience collaborating across design, process integration, test, or product engineering

Salary

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $170,000.00 - $290,000.00 a year Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
