Job summary

Oscar Health is seeking Staff Software Engineers, Fullstack with a frontend lean, to join multiple engineering teams in Los Angeles. The role focuses on leading technical efforts to build reliable applications, infrastructure, and interfaces that simplify healthcare interactions for members and providers.

You will report to an Associate Director+ and guide cross-team delivery, set technical direction, and mentor engineers while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and high-quality software

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading technical contributions within teams
• Strong practical CS knowledge applied to real systems
• Experience leading cross-pod or cross-company deliverables
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading teams

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and release of complex projects across multiple teams
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to solve challenging problems
• Mentor engineers and set team direction and best practices
• Define and enforce SLOs for key systems and ensure reliable delivery
• Influence prioritization of technical and product roadmaps across domains
