LILT in USA is hiring for an Internal Tools engineer to own critical platform infrastructure used by delivery, contributor ops, and engineering teams. You will build and scale production systems that run benchmarks and data quality across a global network of experts.

The role emphasizes architecture, data pipelines, and hands‑on engineering to maintain reliable, production‑ready tooling for high‑impact AI labs and customers.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional full‑stack software engineering with end‑to‑end ownership across runtimes.
• Deep experience with Python backend (FastAPI) and async SQLAlchemy/Postgres, plus one statically‑typed backend language.
• Strong React/TypeScript frontend experience with modern data fetching and state management.
• Experience building and operating background job/worker systems with idempotency.
• Experience integrating with third‑party APIs (GitHub, OAuth/SSO) and LLM APIs.
• Experience building Slack bot integrations with operational guardrails.
• Handle applied‑statistics or ML‑adjacent code in production contexts.
• Solid CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform).
• Ability to optimize long‑running Python workers memory usage and recycling.

Aufgaben

• Translate new benchmark and data‑quality requirements into scoped technical designs.
• Own internal workforce‑management tools for AI delivery, including vetting, QC, payments, and reports.
• Define architecture and long‑term direction across multiple services and platforms.
• Extend audio/QA pipelines and DS/ML metric tooling used by frontier AI labs.
• Design and ship modules that plug new workflows into the existing review lifecycle.
• Own API key provisioning and budget governance for the platform.
• Build ChatOps automation to accelerate annotator workflows and query resolution.
• Harden background workers and job processing infrastructure.
• Set testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices across codebases.
• Promote code quality through design docs and mentoring as the surface area grows.
