Job summary

NerdWallet in the United States is seeking a Full-Stack Staff Software Engineer to lead technical direction across the stack, shipping high-quality web experiences and scalable back-end services. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product, SEO, and marketing teams, and drive modernization including AI tooling while ensuring performance, observability, and security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with full-stack and distributed systems.
• Expertise in TypeScript, React and Node.js, with experience in Next.js.
• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Next.js and React.js, with an understanding of web performance and CWV/SEO.
• Experience architecting and building back-end APIs and microservices for scalable systems.
• Strong understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and high-volume data processing.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of security and compliance best practices, particularly in financial services.
• Experience in observability and running production applications at scale.
