Healthie in New York City seeks a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack & Tech Lead for the new Billing initiative. You’ll lead architecture and build full‑stack systems powering how providers get paid, spanning backend services, APIs, data models, and GraphQL, with React/TypeScript frontend.

As a technical leader, you’ll set direction, mentor engineers, and partner with Product and Design to deliver a scalable, reliable billing platform in a hybrid, full‑time role requiring 8+ years of experience

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping production systems across the full stack.
• Strong expertise in Ruby, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and APIs.
• Ability to design backend services and data models for high-scale apps.
• Systems thinking across services, data layers, and UX.
• Mentor and lead engineers, with collaboration across product and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural direction for the billing initiative and roadmap.
• Build resilient full-stack systems (Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, React/TypeScript).
• Design backend services, APIs, and data models to support scale.
• Collaborate with Product and Design; ship complete features end-to-end.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering quality and reviews.
