Job summary

Stripe is hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer for the Link team in the US. You will lead the design and delivery of new consumer capabilities, balancing technical depth with strong product sense. This hands-on role spans frontend, backend, and APIs, and involves guiding large cross-functional projects from concept through launch.

You will work across Stripe systems to build scalable, secure experiences, with opportunities to influence roadmap and architecture while moving fast and iterating.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend and/or full-stack software development experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience leading design and delivery of large, complex projects.
• Strong full-stack skills with reliable backend services and polished UI.
• Experience guiding engineers as a senior contributor in ambiguous projects.
• Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments and make durable technical decisions.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration to align diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy across Link Consumer and align delivery with product goals.
• Lead 0→1 initiatives from problem definition through launch and iteration.
• Design, build, and maintain frontend and backend services and APIs.
• Identify risks and create plans to de-risk the roadmap.
• Collaborate with Stripe teams to align roadmaps and priorities.
• Set patterns in React/JavaScript/CSS/GraphQL and Ruby APIs; work with LLM systems.
• Ensure UI/backend components are secure, extensible, and reliable.
• Define operational processes and respond to production issues across the stack.
