HeartFlow is seeking a Staff Frontend Software Developer to build advanced web applications transforming healthcare. You will steer design, development, testing, and maintenance of customer-facing apps, making data-driven decisions while solving complex problems.

You will drive frontend architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate across API, Platform, Product, QA, and UI/UX teams to ensure excellent usability and performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with modern frontend tech, esp. Vue.js; ability to design scalable frontend architectures.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical decisions in fast-paced teams.
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated healthcare software is a plus.

• Design and Develop: Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of robust customer-facing interactive web applications. Make data-driven decisions while practicing creative problem solving
• Technical Leadership: Drive technical vision and architectural decisions for frontend development
• Collaboration: Work closely with API teams, Platform, Product, QA, and UI/UX to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality of web applications
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide other engineers within the team, promoting best practices and continuous learning
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of web applications, from initial development to deployment and ongoing monitoring of production services
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and user experience. Build for scalability, observability, and security
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for medical software, including documentation, quality assurance processes, and adherence to regulatory standards in web application development

• Experience/Interest working with Vue.js highly desired
• Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of web security best practices
• Project Experience: Demonstrated experience in building and deploying large-scale, customer-facing web applications. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies (e.g., Vue.js, JavaScript, React, Angular)
• DevOps: Experience with DevOps best practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines)
• Experience: 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of successful collaboration with product management and design teams in a fast-paced environment
• Regulatory Understanding: Experience with or willingness to learn about FDA regulations and compliance requirements for medical software
• Leadership Skills: Experience driving technical vision and leading architectural decisions; ability to mentor and lead other engineers
• Vue.js Expertise: Hands-on experience with Vue.js and its ecosystem
• Cloud Proficiency: Proficiency in AWS services
• Regulated Industry Experience: Previous experience working with FDA-regulated products or in another highly regulated industry
