Job summary

Talanto in San Mateo, CA, is hiring a founding Staff Engineer to lead the technical architecture of its next-generation Spatial Platform. You will design a high-performance 3D engine capable of interactive geospatial visualization and real-time collaboration across multiple product lines.

You'll tackle hard math for geospatial projections, build scalable rendering and a real-time sync engine, and partner with design to define intuitive spatial editing and pixel-perfect UX across the platform.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong fundamentals in data structures, memory management and linear algebra.
Ability to bridge CAD-level precision with consumer-grade UX.

Responsibilities

Build the Rendering Platform for high-density geospatial visualization and interactive editing.
Set the UX bar with pixel-level polish and smooth interactions.
Optimize latency with partial GPU updates and custom shaders.
Develop real-time 3D line-of-sight analysis and AI-assisted placement tools.
Own the client-side CRDT architecture for offline-first multi-user editing.
