Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced front‑end engineer to join our core engineering group, focusing on Design Systems and UI architecture. You will build, scale and maintain the foundational component library that powers our enterprise applications and act as a bridge between Design and Engineering, partnering closely with over eight product teams.

What You Will Do

• Evolve the Design System: Collaborate with engineering leadership to develop and scale a centralized, React‑based component library, ensuring it remains highly reusable and easy to consume.
• Bridge Design and Engineering: Work closely with the Product Design team to translate design visions and Figma tokens into pixel‑perfect, interactive web components.
• Empower product engineering: Support, mentor and collaborate with engineers across multiple product teams, driving system adoption and best practices.
• Champion Accessibility (a11y): Advocate for and implement strict WCAG accessibility standards across all shared components.
• Ensure UI Quality and Performance: Write comprehensive automated tests (unit, visual regression) and optimize UI rendering for complex single‑page applications.
• Drive Documentation and Tooling: Maintain excellent documentation (e.g., Storybook) and usage guidelines to simplify component discovery and implementation.
• Contribute to the Broader Platform: Ensure the design system integrates seamlessly into our micro‑frontend architecture and contribute to core front‑end tooling and infrastructure.

Education and Experience

• 4+ years of front‑end web development focused on UI/UX.
• Expertise with modern web technologies, specifically React, TypeScript, and styling solutions (CSS‑in‑JS, CSS Modules).
• Proven track record of building, maintaining or significantly contributing to design systems, component libraries or comprehensive UI frameworks.
• Tooling proficiency with Storybook and similar documentation tools.
• Accessibility focus and knowledge of ARIA, WCAG and how to build compliant components.
• Design fluency through collaboration with designers and understanding of design tokens, typography, layout systems and responsive design.
• Degree in Computer Science, HCI or a related field.

$185,000 – $265,000 USD
