Senior Staff Frontend and Full Stack Engineer (full-time)

Location: San Mateo, CA (Hybrid 3 days WFH, 2 days in office)

• MUST be able to work in office 3 days a week
• Ideal candidate: Currently living in the Bay Area

Compensation

Base salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year + Equity & Benefits

Reports to:

CTO & CEO

Responsibilities:

• Work at a seed-stage software startup backed by tier 1 investors, aiming to transform the manufacturing industry
• Develop clean slate products with minimal legacy code, making high-leverage technical decisions
• Ship and iterate rapidly with user feedback
• Address applied AI challenges (GPT, vision, reasoning)
• Handle computational geometry challenges
• Collaborate with experienced founders and senior engineers
• Engage in diverse tasks with opportunities for learning due to small team size

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of web development experience, including backend (API design, databases, security), modern frontend (TS, React/Vue, SPA), and cloud infrastructure (scaling, reliability)
• 5+ years programming with Python and/or Node.js
• Experience with multiple languages, paradigms, frameworks, and quick learning ability
• Systematic and rational approach to technical decisions
• Ability to collaborate with product and UX teams in shaping the product
• Strong ownership skills, including troubleshooting and customer communication
• SaaS experience is a plus
