Job summary

Pleo is hiring a Staff Engineer to join Web Core — our frontend platform team. You’ll help set direction, collaborate with product engineers, and raise the bar for building and running web software.

You’ll own internal tooling, improve CI and developer workflows, and mentor engineers to grow technical leadership across frontend teams.

We’re hiring a Staff Engineer to join Web Core — our frontend platform team. The Web Core team exists to enable product engineers across Pleo to build and ship high-quality web software. We own the foundations of the web stack (tooling, patterns, architecture, reliability of the developer workflow), and we partner closely with product teams to make delivery faster, safer, and more consistent.

What Web Core does

• Build and maintain a web platform that teams use to efficiently deliver excellent web experiences.
• Drive technical excellence across Pleo’s web applications (architecture, patterns, quality, performance, accessibility).
• Improve developer experience (DX) through tooling, CI reliability, and fast feedback loops.
• Steward shared web foundations (libraries, conventions, golden paths) and support adoption.
• Facilitate and contribute to the broader frontend community at Pleo.

What you’ll be doing

As a Staff Engineer in Web Core, you will be a force multiplier. You’ll work across teams and systems to remove constraints and raise the bar for how we build and run web software.
